Patrick Aloysius Ewing was born on August 5, 1962, in Kingston, Jamaica. He moved to the United States at age 12 and attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. There, he quickly became a dominant force in high school basketball, leading his team to three state championships and earning recognition as one of the nation’s top recruits.
College Career (1981–1985)
Ewing committed to Georgetown University, where he became one of the greatest college players in NCAA history under coach John Thompson.
